Is this partially because it was hard to think of three bad players in a dominant win? Sure, but it’s not too far from the truth — penalties for the Bucs were awful on Sunday, and it can’t continue in the future.
The Bucs had 11 penalties for 91 yards against the Saints, a staggering amount from both sides of the ball that simply cannot be repeated if Tampa Bay wants to win games against better teams. The Bucs didn’t have a lot of penalties previously this year, so they’ll likely find a way to clean that up over the bye week.
