OPINION:
Democrats in the Senate, House and White House refuse to support defense of the U.S. southern border, even if it means letting our friendly allies in Israel and Ukraine lose their lands, liberty and national identity (“‘Secret’ negotiations with Dems on border prompts GOP senators to demand ‘transparent process,’” web, Dec. 17). They refuse to fund or enact southern border support or laws.
I suggest that Republicans take this mess and initiate an online crowdfunding campaign to do privately what our incompetent Democrats can’t seem to figure out how to do.
The Republicans providing private funds to our allies should not interfere with the constitutional duties the White House and Senate refuse to carry out.
This has not been done before and may never need to be done again once the Democrats are shamed enough to do their jobs.
