The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to face off against their former NFC Central rivals in the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, and it’s set to be a big test for a new-look Bucs squad.
Tampa Bay is entering the post-Tom Brady era for the first time after a disappointing 8-9 season in his last year. The Bucs will have quarterback Baker Mayfield, a brand new offensive coordinator in Dave Canales and an incredibly young roster to try and take on a Vikings team that won the NFC North last year.
The Vikings, meanwhile, have a lot to prove after going 13-4. That sounds crazy, but 11 of their 13 wins were by a single score and a few of their four losses were blowouts, so the team is looking to establish that it can not only win in 2023, but win convincingly. Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson have been a dynamic duo for a bit now, but the emergence of Jordan Addison could also cause problems in 2023.
According to BetMGM, the Vikings are six-point favorites against the Buccaneers on Sunday. The over-under is set at 49.5.
