The Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicked off their 2023 campaign win a win over the Minnesota Vikings with a tough win on the road, and few were happier about it than Bucs head coach Todd Bowles.
Baker Mayfield and Vita Vea both spoke before Bowles gave his speech, but it was a short one — Bowles said that “one word describes this game” before breaking into a triumphant “yeah!” emphatically echoed by the rest of the team. After getting hyped up, Bowles gave his actual speech to his victorious squad.
“That’s a hell of a start, guys,” Bowles said. “A hell of a win on the road against a hell of a tough team. We got one down, got a lot to go — we know we can get better, but we fought our asses off. I’m proud of you. Let’s pack up and go home.”
