In Green Bay’s 2023 wins, they typically win the turnover battle, recording a +6 turnover differential and a +4 differential during their three game win streak prior to last week’s loss to the New York Giants. The Bucs are not any different, with +8 turnover differential in their wins.
It really comes down to the quarterbacks. Both are responsible for the majority of their team’s turnovers, with Baker Mayfield committing 10 of Tampa Bay’s 13 turnovers and Jordan Love committing 12 of Green Bay’s 15.
Defensively, Green Bay is on a takeaway hot streak, forcing seven in their last four games. The Bucs have been less successful with just six in their last seven games after taking away 10 in their first four. Tampa Bay’s defense needs to recapture their early season turnover mojo to maximize their chances of beating the Packers.
