The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to meet with Texas defensive lineman Byron Murphy II ahead of the 2024 NFL draft, per Bleacher Report’s Ryan Fowler.
Murphy is an undersized but explosive interior defender who was a dominant force for the Longhorns last season, and could be the top prospect off the board at his position.
The Bucs appear to be fairly set along the interior of their defensive line with Vita Vea, Calijah Kancey and Logan Hall, but adding another elite talent like Murphy to the group wouldn’t be out of the question if he’s still on the board when Tampa Bay picks at No. 26 in the first round.
