Todd Bowles isn’t just on the hot seat anymore. His seat is on fire, and this loss could be the nail in the coffin for him going forward.
Bowles’ coaching job was perhaps his worst all year, and that’s saying something. He had a number of playcalling gaffs, was too conservative exiting the half (again!) by leaving timeouts on the board and also decided to burn a timeout with 50 seconds left to avoid a 10-second run-off, and those 10 seconds eventually allowed the Texans to score the game-winning touchdown.
The Bucs have lost four games in a row, and Bowles is the biggest reason why. This team simply doesn’t look the same after the bye week, and coaching will be noted as the reason why they didn’t succeed with the talent they had in 2023.
