The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are heading toward their second game of the season against the Chicago Bears, and the injury report this week grew a bit bigger since the team’s 20-17 victory against the Minnesota Vikings.
On Thursday, a new name was added to the list — linebacker SirVocea Dennis, who appears to be hampered with a hamstring injury. He was a limited participant in practice, though, so it’s a possibility that he’s simply taking some maintenance in practice before game day.
Here is the latest Thursday injury report:
Carlton Davis was held out of practice for the second day in a row with a toe injury, and his absence would certainly be noticed if he wasn’t able to go on Sunday. Cornerback Christian Izien practiced in a non-contact black jersey Thursday, as he needs to be cleared out of the NFL’s concussion protocol to play — something that hasn’t happened for him. Defensive tackle Calijah Kancey didn’t practice for the second day in a row and Baker Mayfield, despite being listed on the injury report for a shoulder injury, was a full participant once again.
On Chicago’s side, cornerback Kyler Gordon was moved to IR with a hand injury. Tight end Marcedes Lewis took a rest day linebacker Dylan Cole was a full participant and defensive back Josh Blackwell didn’t participate on Thursday.
