A few Tampa Bay Buccaneers players from Wednesday’s injury report have made good progress, but another player has been added on the Thursday before the team’s season opener.
The Bucs and the Vikings released their latest injury report on Thursday, and it includes a new name — OG Cody Mauch. Mauch is listed with a back injury and did not participate in Thursday’s practice, so his status for Friday’s practice and gameday remains to be seen.
DT Calijah Kancey got back to practicing for the first time in a while after his calf strain earlier in the offseason, which is an encouraging sign. Safety Kaevon Merriweather was a full participant on Thursday, as was Ke’Shawn Vaughn, who had an unexcused absence on Wednesday.
Here is the full injury report for both teams below:
Friday’s practice should be a good indicator of which players will and won’t play, but aside from Mauch’s new development, things are looking good for Tampa Bay’s regular-season debut on Sunday.
