Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers lineman Nick Leverett will be playing elsewhere in 2024 after signing a one-year contract in free agency with the New England Patriots this week.
After four seasons in Tampa Bay, Leverett penned a heartfelt tribute to the only NFL team he’s known up to this point, as well as the Bucs fans who have supported him throughout his career so far.
Leverett spent his rookie season in 2020 on Tampa Bay’s practice squad, and then appeared in 16 games with 10 starts over the next three years. All 10 of his starts came in 2022, when he protected Tom Brady as the Bucs set a franchise record with 13 regular-season wins.
Best of luck to Leverett as he starts the next chapter of his NFL journey in New England.
