Morgan Wallen arrested after allegedly throwing chair off bar roof

Country music star Morgan Wallen was charged with three felony counts early Monday in connection to an incident at Eric Church’s new honky tonk bar in Nashville, Tenn.

Some Nashville police officers had been standing in front of Chief’s Bar on Broadway Sunday night when a chair flew off the roof and hit the ground in front of them, according to local News Channel 5.

Staff members identified the “Wasted on You” crooner, 30, as the person responsible for tossing the chair and noted that he allegedly laughed afterward.

Wallen was arrested for three counts of reckless endangerment for the two officers who were in the vicinity and for the danger to the public, the outlet reported. The “Man Made a Bar” singer was also charged with disorderly conduct.

Wallen’s bond was set at $15,250. He was released from Davidson County Jail around 3:30 a.m local time.

“At 10:53p Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct,” his attorney said in a statement. “He is cooperating fully with authorities.”

Court records show Wallen must appear in criminal court on May 3. He was already expected to be in Nashville on that date as he has tour performances at Nissan Stadium on May 2 and May 3.

The “One Thing at a Time” performer has found himself embroiled in controversy numerous times in recent years. Wallen issued an apology in 2021 after footage showed him saying the N-word.
