OPINION:
We Americans are reaping the fruit of identity politics, that poisonous faith embraced by the Democratic Party to win elections by pitting us against each other.
The enormous Jew hatred coming from our supposedly educated youth, the rioting and looting in our major cities and the spontaneous attacks against those perceived as White or Asian are all part of the oppressed-versus-oppressor mentality promoted by the political left.
Members of this contingent and their mainstream-media mouthpieces have abandoned the melting pot in favor of the “salad bowl.” They have replace assimilation with accusations of cultural appropriation. They have swapped out personal responsibility for victimhood.
What is today called “progressive” is anything but. Our power elites’ continuing embrace of progressivism’s noxious tenets is sending our country down a path to totalitarian thought control and ruin. Reversing course and healing our nation will require a total repudiation of identity politics, critical race theory and intersectionality.
If we are to save ourselves and our country, we must abandon fear and resist, resist, resist.
