OPINION:
The GOP is gutless. Over 20 House Republicans voted no to censuring Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Michigan Democrat, who made disturbing anti-Jewish and anti-Israel comments (“‘Squad’ member Rashida Tlaib spared censure vote over Israel comments,” Web, Nov. 1).
As a conservative American citizen and a supporter of Israel, I would like to say respectfully that these Republicans should be considered cowardly and untrustworthy. Tlaib and her cohorts should be booted out of office, arrested for hate speech and considered terrorist supporters.
The Republicans who voted against Tlaib‘s censure should be ashamed of themselves. They let a racist, treasonous supporter of terrorism completely off the hook. Tlaib‘s support of Hamas makes her a terrorist who hates Jews, Israel and the United States. I also question the loyalty to Israel of Reps. John Duarte, Harriet Hagerman, Chip Roy, Troy Walberg and all the other Republicans who voted no. Every one of them let Israel down by effectively condoning Tlaib‘s actions.
