OPINION:
In 1787, Russian nobleman Grigory Potemkin erected phony, portable settlements along the banks of the Dnieper River to impress the Russian Empress Catherine II and her foreign guests as Catherine journeyed to Crimea. The structures would be disassembled after she left and reassembled farther along her route to be seen again. “Potemkin Villages” is now a term used to describe an elaborate façade designed to hide an undesirable reality.
The more we learn about the Biden crime family, the more I have come to realize that we are witnessing a modern-day Potemkin Village. Not one of brick and mortar, however, but rather, one of subterfuge and deceit. Put another way, the astounding avalanche of lies — including that Biden signed into law student loan forgiveness — is part of a masquerade designed to deflect the failures of this administration.
Aided by the Democratic henchmen in his government, Biden puts up myriad obstacles to hide the crisis at the border, the faltering economy, runaway inflation and the despicable fiasco in Afghanistan. The Republican House of Representatives is encountering labyrinthine barriers to hide the pervasive corruption infecting the Biden family and implicating the “big guy.”
Lately, Biden’s minions are trying to blunt concerns about his age by feverishly developing strategies to prevent him from falling on his face, both figuratively and literally.
Does anyone else find it deeply concerning that the supposed leader of the free world may need bubble wrap to continue in office? These are sad and dark days in America.
