Josh Hart’s night in Chicago came to an abrupt and early end.
Hart was ejected from Friday night’s game against the Bulls after he kicked Chicago’s Javonte Green in the head while driving to the basket.
At the end of the first quarter, Hart went toward the basket for either a layup or dunk but was stripped of the ball before shooting.
As he was coming down to the ground, Hart kicked Green in the back of his head with his right leg while trying to regain his balance.
Officials reviewed the play and said there was “excessive foot-to-head contact” and gave Hart a flagrant 2, meaning he was done for the night.
Hart finished with one rebound and one assist before the ejection.
It made a rough first quarter go from bad to worse for the Knicks, as they were outscored 29-17 and down a man for the final three quarters.
