Former Bucs TE Kyle Rudolph retires after 12 seasons

A player from Tampa Bay’s 2022 roster is hanging up his cleats.

Former Bucs tight end Kyle Rudolph announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, calling it quits on a 12 year career in the league. While he spent the last year of his career with the Bucs and quarterback Tom Brady, Rudolph is more known as a Minnesota Viking and is set to officially retire as a Viking.

Rudolph was inactive as a healthy scratch for quite a few games in the 2022 season. As a Buccaneer, he played in nine games and caught just three passes for 28 yards, one of which was a touchdown. That touchdown pass would end up being Tom Brady’s last-ever regular-season

touchdown pass, as Brady would retire after the 2022 season.

In his career, Rudolph caught 482 balls for 4,773 yards and 50 touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl twice, both times as a member of the Minnesota Vikings.
