The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to win their third-straight season-opener on Sunday, and they’re picking an iconic fit while they try to get it done.
The team announced that it will wear a white jersey with pewter pants against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, revealing the Bucs’ first uniform combo of the season. The Vikings are set to wear their throwback uniforms to start the year off.
The white top, pewter bottom look has arguably been Tampa Bay’s most prolific. The team typically wears white both home and away to start the year due to the Tampa heat, and so the combo is usually worn numerous times during the season — on top of that, it earned particular notoriety when the Tom Brady-led Bucs wore it for the back three of their four-game playoff stretch to win the Super Bowl in 2020.
The Bucs are set to play the Vikings at 1 p.m. EST in Minneapolis on Sunday.
