Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback (at least for now) Baker Mayfield had a good year last year with the Bucs, but it doesn’t look like he’s really swayed bettors with any potential MVP prowess.

BetMGM released their NFL futures bets for Most Valuable Player, and Mayfield’s odds aren’t among the league’s higher candidates. Mayfield currently has +6600 odds to win MVP ($660 dollar bet to win $6600) in 2024, which is tied for 20th with the man who replaced Mayfield in Cleveland in Deshaun Watson. The two QBs are just below Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (+5000) and far above a slew of candidates that includes Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis, Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (+10000).

No other Tampa Bay Buccaneers players were featured on the list, so if you want to look for a Bucs player for MVP, Mayfield would be the guy. That being said, Mayfield is a free agent in 2024, so Tampa Bay would need to re-sign him to even make that a reality (even if that’s looking very likely at this point).
