The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are spending one of their official “top-30” visits with one of the best offensive line prospects in the 2024 NFL draft class.
Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson recently made a trip to One Buc Place to meet with the Bucs, per Bleacher Report’s Ryan Fowler.
Widely regarded as the best center prospect in this year’s draft, Powers-Johnson was a dominant force in the offensive trenches for the Ducks, and has all the physical and mental traits to be a Pro Bowler at the next level.
The Bucs have sorely missed having a tone-setting presence at center since losing Ryan Jensen to a career-ending knee injury two years ago. Spending their first-round pick on Powers-Johnson could be the ideal way to finally find a worthy replacement for what Jensen brought to the offense.
