The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have brought in one of the top defensive back prospects in the 2024 NFL draft for a “top-30” visit.
Michigan’s Mike Sainristil recently made the trip down to One Buc Place for a predraft visit with the Bucs’ decision-makers, per NFL insider Justin Melo.
Sainristil might be a bit lighter than some NFL teams would prefer, but he makes up for it with elite instincts and playmaking ability, with a knack for finding the ball and creating tons of splash plays. He’s a versatile corner who could line up on the outside or in the slot, doing much of his best work as the nickel defender for last year’s undefeated national champs.
The Bucs added some solid depth to the secondary in free agency with Bryce Hall and Tavierre Thomas, but after trading away Carlton Davis III, they still need as much help as they can get at corner. Sainristil would be a strong target for Tampa Bay anytime on Day 2.
