It’s been a day for the rookies against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1.
Rookie defensive back Christian Izien made a great play to get a turnover before the half, but after that, it was the offense’s turn. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drove to the red zone but were set to kick a field goal on 4th down until the Vikings jumped offside. QB Baker Mayfield made the new set of downs count — Bucs rookie Trey Palmer caught a ball from him in the end zone to put the Bucs up 17-10 in the third quarter, giving the team some breathing room against the Vikings.
