The 49ers can breathe a little easier.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel returned to action Sunday in Super Bowl 2024 at Allegiant Stadium after going down midway through the third quarter, when he appeared to grab his hamstring area.
He was initially listed as questionable by the 49ers with a left hamstring injury.
Samuel was looked at by the 49ers’ medical staff on the field and eventually did get up from the turf and walk to the sideline on his own.
He immediately went to the blue medical tent to be evaluated further.
Samuel has two catches for 24 yards, in addition to two rushing attempts for negative yardage.
Only running back Christian McCaffrey has more receptions with six for 54 yards.
The 49ers led the Chiefs, 10-3, in the third quarter when the injury occurred.
