A Pennsylvania town is under lockdown and its St. Patrick’s Day parade was canceled following a possible carjacking that is believed to have killed three people — and the armed suspect remains at large.
Law enforcement in Falls Township issued the shelter-in-place order Saturday morning, FOX 29 reported.
At least three people are confirmed to have been shot and killed by an unidentified suspect in what may have been a carjacking, reporter Steve Keeley said.
The “‘active shooter’ armed with multiple long guns now in a carjacked silver Honda CRV,” Keeley wrote alongside a map of the crime scene.
Local police have requested additional resources from around Bucks County, as well as the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Police, he added.
The Falls Township Police Department was not immediately available to comment on the situation.
The shelter-in-place order canceled the town’s St. Patrick’s Day parade. Local businesses were also closed as residents were urged to stay inside.
